Recon Independent Assessments is an independent consulting firm specializing in providing field water testing penetration testing, per ASTM E 1105 (water penetration) guidelines entitled: Standard Test Method for Field Determination of Water Penetration of Installed Exterior Windows, Skylights, Doors and Curtain walls, by Uniform or Cyclic Static Air Pressure Difference.



Recon Independent Assessments conducts these tests for the benefit of: General Contractors requiring such tests, Owners of the Project being tested, Glazing Companies that installed the windows on the Project and Building Envelope Consultants retained to verify and qualify the work of the Project.



Recon Independent Assessments is located in Central Florida, outside of Orlando, FL and has been providing Curtain wall, Window, and Storefront Field Testing for years. Many of our Projects have been completed in Florida, however, many required mobilization and transportation of the equipment required for the tests that were conducted out of state.  Despite mobilization and travel costs, Recon Independent Assessments was selected due to the overall value provided.



Recon Independent Assessments has executed most field testing to comply with ASTM standards and has the experience and expertise to do so. Where AAMA testing protocols were called for, field testing was conducted in compliance to those standards.
