Field Quality Control For Installed Windows & Curtain Wall

Recon Independent Assessments recently completed the first phase of a project providing oversight of remedial work required on a window and curtain wall retrofit in an existing building.

Based on recommendations provided on an earlier field testing engagement, the installer was implementing remedial actions to prevent water infiltration around the system's perimeter.

As the end plates were removed, it became apparent that no set procedure had been followed during the initial installation.

Recon staff observed the installation of the new end plates and documented the proper procedure that was to be replicated on subsequent locations to ensure the architects directive was being followed.
Recon Independent Assessments recognizes the importance of providing clear directive and the documentation of the installation process to ensure a quality and watertight building envelope is delivered to the owner.
